Dr Peter Rosenthal

"3D structure from electron images of frozen-hydrated specimens"

Biography:

Peter Rosenthal obtained a B.A. in physics from Harvard College and a Ph.D. in biophysics from Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts. He then moved to the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology in Cambridge, England before joining the Division of Physical Biochemistry at the MRC National Institute for Medical Research, London in 2005. His group studies the architecture of large protein assemblies in order to understand basic molecular mechanisms that control protein and membrane traffic in the cell and virus infection.
