mmc2014 will continue the acclaimed programme of special "Hands-on" workshops originally introduced in 2002. The workshops enable the visitor to learn more about the practical details of the conference topics and microscopy in general.

The workshops will all take place on the exhibition floor in the four purpose-built theatres with space for a minimum of 32 seated guests They will run from Tuesday 1st July - Thursday 3rd July. Each session will run for approximately 45 minutes.

Workshops are £100 +VAT per one 45 minute session. RMS Corporate members are entitle to one free workshop.

They are FREE to attend to all visitors to mmc2014.

A programme of the workshops will be available online and at the congress.

Each session will run for 45 minutes. The lunchtime slots are marked in red, lunch will take place between 1215-1415 on Tuesday and Thursday and 1200-1330 on Wednesday. There will be an exhibition, posters and refreshments period between 1500-1700 on Wednesday. Companies are limited to one workshop session during a lunchtime period. The sessions marked in orange have been reserved.

Your workshop topic may relate to one of the conference sessions within the conference. Check the conference overview . If so, please state which session your workshop relates to when completing the form. The workshops will all take place in the four purpose-built theatres within the exhibition. They are marked on the  floorplan . If you have a preferred location, please note this on your form.

Once you have submitted your workshop form, a short abstract is required for your workshop(s), which will be linked from the mmc2014 website and published in the workshops programme at the congress. Your abstract must be between 150-300 words and may include images if you wish. Please send a short workshop abstract to   by Monday 26th May 2014 at the latest.
